The Recruitment Co. is urgently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator with FLT experience to join our clients team based in the Baglan area. Paid Weekly! Temp to perm contract!!
Rate of pay: £11.68ph
Hours of work: DAYS Monday to Friday 7.30am-3.30pm shifts
Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks providing candidate meets performance and job spec criteria below.
Purpose of the role:
To guarantee raw materials and parent reels unloading, storage and handling in compliance with work instructions and safety guidelines.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Unload incoming goods from the vehicles recording all necessary paperwork
2. Carry out visual inspection of all incoming loads to ensure that the load matches the paperwork
3. Run quality check of all incoming goods
4. Transport goods using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store them in the correct storage bay
5. Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed
6. Operate FLT / Clamp trucks safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectation
7. Transport required reels and raw materials from warehouse to production workstation
8. Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
9. Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults
10. Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
11. Carry out periodic stocktaking activities
12. Guarantee the warehouse space optimization
13. Transport parent reels from paper mill production area to warehouse if required
14. Work closely and in cooperation with the rest of the Day Services and Shift teams
15. Carry out any other reasonable request and support the colleagues in case of need
16. Ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
17. Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
Requirements:
18. RTITB FLT counterbalance licence desirable or an inhouse licence
19. Has previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
20. Excellent communication skills.
21. Works well in a team and individually
