Key responsibilities:
* Inspection of precision components from in-house manufacture/assembly, sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Create prove out & run CMM programs using PC-DMIS for new and legacy components.
* Create/ amend CMM setup/operation instructions for new & amended programs.
* First off inspection.
* First article inspection (FAI) reporting for single level parts and multi-level assemblies.
* Update and maintain paperwork associated with inspection procedures.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers when required.
* Source inspection (VAS inspect at suppliers).
* Patrol inspection of manufacturing areas.
* Raising Non-conformance reports (NCR's) and dimensional reports.
* Calibration duties such as calibration of mechanical and electrical equipment and dealing with quotations and purchase orders for this equipment will also be required but full training will be given on this aspect of the role.
Experience;
1. A recognised Mechanical qualification and previous relevant experience of mechanical inspection.
2. Experience & understanding of different inspection techniques
3. Experience in using precision measuring equipment
4. Good working knowledge & experience of ISO 9001:2001 and ideally AS9100 Rev D
