The role As a senior leader in the Procurement team at the Bradfield Development Authority (BDA), the Associate Director Procurement will play a critical role in driving innovation and operational excellence in procurement processes. Working closely with their counterpart to lead the Procurement team, the role will drive best practices and ensure alignment with the strategic goals of the BDA. The Associate Director will oversee a wide range of procurements, ensuring the timely and compliant delivery that meet both technical specifications and broader business objectives. Responsibilities include managing RFX’s and contract variations for BDA and AMRF Co, while ensuring procurement activities are compliant with government policies and standards. The role also provides expert advice on procurement strategies, supplier performances, contract management practices and risk mitigation standards through the leading of contract negotiations, managing supplier relationship and overseeing the contract management process to support the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. What you will bring to the role Expertise in Procurement Governance and Risk Management: A deep understanding of procurement standards and regulatory requirements, with the ability to manage risks effectively while optimising procurement processes. Innovation and Strategic Leadership: A forward-thinking approach, staying at the forefront of emerging trends, government policies, and best practices in procurement. Commitment to Delivery Excellence: A proven track record of delivering procurements on time and within scope, meeting evolving stakeholder needs, particularly in support of the BDA’s goals. Autonomous Decision-Making: The capacity to make independent decisions on procurement matters, referring only significant changes or issues affecting outcomes or timeframes to senior leadership.
