Job Title: Teacher of Maths
Location: Corby Technical School
Salary: MPS/UPS
Start date: Easter or September 2025
About the Role
We wish to appoint a dedicated and inspirational Maths teacher to play a key role in our school. You will be joining a team of strong and enthusiastic staff who are committed to delivering a high-quality, ambitious, interesting curriculum to challenge and inspire all our students. We are a well-resourced and dynamic Maths department.
Our well-established Mathematics department consists of eight full-time teachers and one part-time teacher. Students follow a spiral curriculum throughout KS3 and KS4, allowing students to develop a deeper understanding of the core knowledge and have opportunities to interweave topics. We want this to provide students with a more enriching experience and ultimately a greater understanding of Mathematics. Students work towards the Edexcel GCSE Mathematics qualification in KS4. We have seen our KS5 provision expand over the past years and we are frequently the most subscribed subject. We offer A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, alongside the L3 Core Maths qualification for students that are passionate in supporting their A-Level studies with further mathematics education. The team is also supported by the Brooke Weston Trust Director of Maths.
The Mathematics department utilises shared planning in order to minimise workload and give teachers the time to focus on the creation of high-quality lessons and resources. We have developed systems to ensure our department runs effectively, but you will still be given the autonomy to ensure your lessons and teaching practice are bespoke to the needs of your students. We work collaboratively and always seek to refine our approaches - input from all staff is crucial for our ongoing success.
