Platform Engineer
Job Description
The Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing enterprise platform infrastructure that supports critical business operations. This includes working with networking, compute, and storage components, as well as platform technologies such as Active Directory, SCCM, SolarWinds, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and User Access Devices (UADs). A key focus of this role is leveraging automation to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure the scalability and reliability of platform services.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
Adhere to the engineering principles and standards.
You will adhere to the Security Policies in all practices to ensure continued compliance with the Secure by Design Principles.
Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade platform components, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
Administer and maintain supporting technologies like Active Directory, SCCM, SolarWinds, and VDI solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
Automate repetitive tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the platform infrastructure to meet business requirements and SLAs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support unified access devices (UADs), endpoint management, and virtualised environments.
