We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our in-house Truck Workshop team based in Christchurch. This role is an evening shift working 45 hours per week Monday to Thursday 3.00 pm – 1.30 am and Friday 3.00 pm – 8.00 pm.
If you’ve always wanted to gain experience or further develop your existing experience by working on diesel trucks, then this is the opportunity for you! In this role, you will be completing unit servicing on Fleet, focusing on completing frequent preventative maintenance following a set planned schedule and completing repairs and adjustments as required assisted by experienced workshop staff.
Responsibilities
* Assisting in fault/maintenance repairs and adjustments at service.
* Maintenance servicing of Fleet hydraulics.
* Maintenance servicing of heavy vehicles.
About You
We are looking for an individual who has relevant work experience in a similar position. You're confident, able to juggle multiple tasks and deal with our internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally. You’re self-motivated, and your attention to detail is awesome. You enjoy working as part of a team as well as independently. Having either a class 2 or 4 truck license would be desirable.
