We are thrilled to be supporting a dynamic and forward-thinking Birmingham based business, who offer a supportive and rewarding environment for their colleagues. They are on the lookout for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to manage and oversee the payroll function. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, oversee a small team and uphold compliance with all relevant regulations.
This role comes with an annual salary of up to 45,000 dependant on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the monthly payroll process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
2. Supervise the payroll team and manage all payroll administration activities.
3. Coordinate annual salary and bonus reviews.
4. Manage employee benefits such as pensions, life assurance, and private medical insurance.
5. Prepare annual P11D forms, PSA submissions, and gender pay gap reports, analysing data for trends.
6. Maintain accurate employee records and build detailed payroll reports.
7. Provide data and insights to the wider business and handle payroll-related queries from staff.
8. Ensure payroll practices meet HMRC requirements and comply with legislative standards.
Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Payroll Supervisor or similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of payroll systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
3. Advanced data handling and reporting skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel.
4. Accurate with high attention to detail.
5. Able to oversee and organise workload across the team.
6. Approachable, friendly and a real team player.
