NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the National Health Board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
Applications are invited from experienced General Practice educators to join the team delivering General Practice education and support within the South-East region of the Scotland Deanery.
The key role of the postholder is to co-ordinate specialist training for General Practice for the Fife and North-East Edinburgh GP Training Programme. The emphasis will be on programme management and providing support for GP Registrars and Educational Supervisors (ESs). This will involve support for ESs via the local trainers’ groups, skills development for established ESs, and helping GP Registrars in need of additional support.
This role will involve being an active member of the South-East region GP TPD group with regular contact and liaison with other Programme Directors and the Assistant Directors as well as South-East Associate Advisers and colleagues across Scotland.
