- Ensure efficient and effective management of medical secretarial services within the Directorate. Providing leadership and day to day support to the secretarial team. - Develop and lead local induction/on-going training programme for medical secretarial staff in conjunction with Trak/IMT. - Support Deputy General Manager and Assistant General Manager to deliver Trust objectives eg waiting list initiatives, clinic utilisation. - Responsible for leading modernisation initiatives with secretarial staff to achieve continuous improvement in service provision. - Organisational management of medical leave A significant level of liaison with different departments is required and the successful candidate needs to have highly developed diplomatic and influencing skills. Attention to detail, excellent communication and organisational skills are key components to the position. Knowledge of medical terminology especially relating to cancer is essential. Previous Urological knowledge and experience would be an advantage
