An exciting opportunity has risen to be part of our dynamic and busy IT Department in the role of End User Computing Technical Lead. Your role will be to provide day to day management of an existing enterprise level EUC Technologies within the Trust and to play a pivotal role in future developments.
You will need to manage expectations and balance, organise and prioritise workload with minimum supervision and maintain a secure customer focused support service.
Applicants must have recent relevant experience of working in an IT environment within an IT desktop support role. Knowledge and experience of supporting existing NHS information systems on a range of platforms will be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensures records referring to the Technology Infrastructure, associated systems and devices are maintained and updated in a timely manner.
2. Operational lead for the proactive management of the current SCCM/MECM environment, ensuring there is proactive monitoring, performance and expected end user service.
3. Works with the EUC Technical Specialist to ensure device monitoring processes are in place to ensure the integrity of the environments and to maximise performance for end users.
4. Ensures that effective Incident and problem management control processes are in place and are actively managed in accordance with SLA's, utilising escalation processes both internal and external when required.
5. Always follows all Trust change control processes to the estates, this includes standard, normal and emergency changes.
6. Ensures that TOI's and SOP's are in place for the management and maintenance of the Trust's end user computing estate.
7. Works with the EUC Technical Specialist to develop actions plans to improve the level of compliance with governance standards, particularly controls assurance and audit reports.
8. Provides specialist advice on products within the IT teams and also colleagues within the Trust.
9. Assists Digital and Data Services senior managers to put measures in place to ensure continuing improvement in business continuity and data quality.
10. Maintains Information asset registers.

Essential
* Educated to Degree standard or equivalent in a relevant subject or with equivalent experiential learning in the field of ICT Technical Design and Support.
* Achieve End User Computing related certification within an agreed timescale.
Desirable
* ITIL qualification.
* Microsoft qualifications such as MD-102 or MS-900.
* Educated to post graduate standard in a relevant subject.

* Recent enterprise experience with SCCM.
* Recent experience of technical documentation.
* Recent experience of working with third party suppliers.
* Experience of Project management and leading on work packages.
* Experience of setting objectives and carrying out appraisals.
* Significant, recent hands on, IT technical experience of industry standard technologies and working with enterprise size technology solutions.
* Experience of working in a customer led service.
* Current experience of managing and developing KPI's and reporting against these.
* Experience in producing a range of documentation and reports i.e. Technical Documents, Standard Operating Procedures and Key Decision Documents.
* Recent experience of working to structured change control processes - from raising to implementing.
