Our stunning care home Ruddington Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built care home facility in Wilford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential and nursing. Ruddington Manor is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents. We are in a great location and have a very good local reputation. New Care has had a 0 agency usage for over 43 years as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care, all of our staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and motivated Head of Hospitality to join our team. You will be responsible for organising the Hospitality Assistants and Care Assistants to enable the dining experience for our residents to be smooth and efficient at all times. This role includes dining room preparation, cleanliness and setup, and ensuring that meals are served in a timely, presentable, and correct manner. This exciting role involves leading a team of Hospitality Assistants, including managing rotas, training, and supervisions. We have a 38 hour contract available with an hourly rate of £12.44! Shift times are 0800-1900, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
* Ensure there is a provision of high standard of hospitality service.
* Support and assist visitors.
* Inform the Chef of any individual requirements of residents.
* Follow cleaning schedules and procedures, as per company HACCP.
* Ensure that all training given is adhered to.
* Ensure records and reports are properly written up, e.g., cleaning schedules, work sheets, fridge temperatures, and that all HACCP paperwork is completed.
* Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the hospitality team ensuring a quality delivery of care for the duration of the shift.
* Coach staff and participate in the ongoing development of staff.
* Take responsibility for promoting safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Dining or Restaurant Supervisor experience is essential.
* Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable.
* Ability to effectively communicate with other members of the team is essential.
* Participation in activities organised in the Home is essential.
