About the role.
You will be working closely with the Supplier Performance Manager in providing governance around the performance management of around 200 own brand suppliers / 300 factories across Fashion, Home and Electrical. You will maintain and refine a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) review process for our overseas sourcing hubs and agent partners.
You will also be providing management information (MI), strategic insight and analytical support across Sourcing and Retail to enable fact-based decision making. Analysing the cost impact and profitability of various initiatives and providing analysis that supports our sustainable agenda. Through this you will communicate at all levels of the business to highlight opportunities and mitigate risks within own brand suppliers’ performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support own brand category teams and global sourcing by reporting on sourcing KPIs and conducting root-cause analysis to improve performance.
* Compile management information (MI) from various data sources to create MI packs for in-depth analysis of sourcing KPIs.
* Produce supplier scorecards to aid strategic supplier decisions and external reporting.
* Ensure data consistency by collaborating with data stakeholders to maintain a single source of accurate supply base data.
* Maintain an attributes database for the own brand supply base to support future analysis and decision-making.
* Provide analytical support for sustainability initiatives, including managing the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) mass balance process and calculating material usage for carbon footprint analysis.
* Analyse cost impacts of sourcing routes with sourcing and country managers, considering local wages, material costs, and currency changes.
About you.
* Advanced Excel skills are essential, as the current MI reporting is Excel based – bringing in data from numerous different systemic sources.
* Familiarity with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, is advantageous, along with experience in database management.
* Proven ability to interrogate data and draw conclusions, with the capability to break down complex problems and datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
* Process-oriented mindset, with the ability to analyse current workflows and identify areas for improvement.
* Aptitude for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather data and implement solutions, while also being able to work independently, managing your own deadlines and priorities.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to key stakeholders at all levels of the business, both in writing and verbally.
