Lead the business of the Army Employment Board (AEB) and subsequent Army Employment Appeal Board (AEAB) including:
Assurance of relevant terminations databases.
Analysis of all casework ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations.
Production of Defence Writing case summaries for all board cases.
Production of submissions for delegated authority cases.
Production of draft agendas and individual records of decisions to Career Managers.
Support the business needs of the section.
Conduct weekly staff meetings and adhere to timeline of tasks through the sections weekly staff meeting with Line Management.
Conduct post board actions including recording of lessons identified and the training and education of staff.
Production of termination letters ensuring follow-up action is taken with Pay / Pensions department where required.
Liaison with Workforce Policy staff to clarify policy and structure of Termination statistics.
Liaison with Career Managers to provide direction and mentorship with applications to the Army Employment Board.
Communication with different team members with issues relating to the termination processes on Military Human Resource Management Information System.
Communication with Pensions and Pay departments to clarify issues in relation to qualifying service for pension calculations.
Assurance of terminations processed by departments through checking of records.
Liaison with Defence Business Service staff on matters as the need arises.
Lead Service Terminations collaborating closely with relevant internal/external customers as the need arises and assuring outputs.
Own the London Gazette production for standard terminations as highlighted in monthly termination reports.
