We have an excellent opportunity in for a motivated Head of Sales to take on a promising new role to lead a sales team as part of a larger fast-moving, Bristol-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to put their stamp on a growing digital publication, event & conference business with events taking place in Europe, North America, and the UK. The Role: Manage a small but growing team of sales professionals Implementing & driving sales strategy Team training and mentoring – prospecting, pitching, closing, reporting, account management and retention/rebooks. Work with the Director to set sales targets, then work with the wider team to ensure these targets are met per event Drive your own publication, exhibition & sponsorship sales across a portfolio of exhibitions, conferences and publishing titles Face to face at events, and building events via a consultative sales approach building relationships Work within a team environment, build good on-going relationships with clients to deliver on their event objectives. Matching client requirements with event packages – exhibition, sponsorship, branding, and the like. Maintain existing business through client management and rebooks Being part of a growing team feeding in new ideas, and growing existing and new events The Candidate: Holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3-5 years' prior experience in a Head of Sales role Training and mentoring experience Strong communication and reporting skills Proven knowledge and execution of successful development and growth strategies Focused and goal-oriented Bristol/Greater Bristol based What we offer: Hybrid working Career development opportunities Frequent team building and social activities with the wider team International travel opportunities
