Job overview
An excellent opportunity has become available in the procurement department for a hardworking and dedicated Procurement Systems Administrator at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH).
The trust's requirement to analyse and assimilate data has grown in recent years, and the need for additional support has become more evident. We have an ambitious programme of improvement focusing on new systems to increase internal productive efficiencies, delivering significant improvements to front line services in all areas of the trust.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist in maintaining the timely and effective functioning of Procurement related IT systems, underpinning the Trust’s business operations.
2. Provide support and assistance to service users of Procurement related IT systems by offering advice, support, incident resolution, and/or training solutions.
3. Support the production of timely system reports which aid business operations and ensure effective and relevant distribution.
4. Develop and maintain catalogues to support commercial performance and regulatory compliance.
5. Support the analysis of expenditure data and identify areas of opportunity which may result in cash releasing savings.
6. Provide supplementary support to the Procurement Analyst (PA) in analysing Procurement activity.

Education and Qualifications
* GCSE Maths & English grade 4/C or above or equivalent qualifications/experience.
* NVQ 3, A-Levels or equivalent standard, or equivalent experience.
* Degree in any subject (or equivalent).
Experience
* Experience of working in Purchasing/Sales/Purchase Ledger.
* Experience of using Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel.
* Experience of interpreting analytical data.
* Experience of maintaining a database.
* Experience of combining data from multiple sources and producing analytical reporting.
* Experience of Systems Implementation and Administration.
* An understanding of the purchase to pay lifecycle.
* Experience of working in a Procurement setting.
* Experience of the eProcurement landscape.
Skills and Knowledge
* Competent and confident in the use of IT packages, particularly Microsoft Windows – including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to work with figures and demonstrate numeracy.
* Experience of training staff.
* Understanding of the need for accurate information systems.
* Ability to validate/cleanse data and produce accurate statistical reports.
* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload and adapt to change.
