Who we are: Lanarkshire Valuation Joint Board is an independent public authority established by The Valuation Joint Board (Scotland) Order 1995.
What we do: Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both North and South Lanarkshire council areas in respect of the compilation of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Register of Electors.

Who are we looking for: We are seeking a Divisional Valuer who will carry out property inspections and valuations, analyse rental transactions, devise schemes of valuation, negotiate proposals and appeals with professional agents/rate payers, and act as an expert witness. You will assist the Divisional Assessor alongside your fellow Divisional Valuers in the supervision of the valuation team. This role will require you to deputise for the Divisional Assessor when required and represent the Assessor at Tribunal hearings leading evidence for Council Tax appeals.
You will have a positive, professional attitude, the ability to work under pressure while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved, and the ability to work as part of a team or individually. In addition, you will be required to drive to survey appointments and scheduled meetings.
