Process Regional Discipline Lead role:
• This position requires leading process engineering for a significant wastewater treatment plant relocation. The successful candidate will mentor junior engineers, foster innovation, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a high-quality, cost-effective, and timely solution.
Process Regional Discipline Lead responsibilities:
• Lead the process design team in developing innovative engineering solutions, reporting directly to the Engineering Director as a key member of the Engineering Leadership Team.
• Manage process design delivery effectively, ensuring alignment with project objectives, budget, schedule, and contractual obligations.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all process design activities.
• Ensure process design compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor process design progress, proactively address issues, and report regularly on project status.
• Lead the team in delivering high-quality, safe, and integrated designs through collaborative and aligned approaches.
• Oversee timely delivery of high-quality process engineering deliverables, while effectively managing technical costs and change.
Process Regional Discipline Lead requirements:
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or relevant professional experience.
• Preferably chartered, or working towards, chartered status.
• Proven experience in water/wastewater process design and full project lifecycle for multi-disciplinary water infrastructure projects.
• Experience, or a strong understanding of construction, procurement, and commissioning.
• Successfully delivered high-quality design projects within budget and on schedule, effectively managing competing demands.
• Proven ability to manage designer’s responsibilities under CDM.
Skills:
• Lead and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic environment, effectively prioritising tasks and empowering team members to succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present to, influence, and negotiate with diverse teams, stakeholders, and customers.
