IMPROVING LIVES BY MAKING JOURNEYS SAFER, CLEANER AND SMARTER.
HORIBA MIRA has over 75 years of heritage in developing some of the world’s most iconic vehicles. Our engineers utilise the latest test facilities and simulation tools to make vehicles and journeys safer, cleaner, more efficient and rewarding. Every journey in the world is positively influenced by us.
We are a very diverse organisation and, since our acquisition by HORIBA in 2015, operate from an increasingly global perspective.
Graduate Engineering Opportunities – Sep 2025 start
Our graduate roles empower new graduates with choices and allow us to identify individual learning paths to provide individuals with the best personal and professional development opportunities.
With access to our cutting-edge facilities, training and development, mentoring scheme, and support from previous graduates, the structured support we offer facilitates a range of experiences to help build technical expertise and shape future potential.
Throughout the journey with us, graduates work alongside recognised industry experts and leading consultants who provide support and mentoring. In the 2-year programme you will also get the opportunity to rotate within the business area and potentially other areas of the business.
We are looking for Graduate Engineers to join our Propulsion & Electromobility business area, and applicants should possess an Honours degree (min. 2:2) or Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines listed below:
* Automotive Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering
* Chemical Engineering
* Thermal Engineering
Preference will be given to applicants whose application clearly shows degree modules and/or projects relating to electromobility and/or batteries. Please also provide an explanation of your major/final year project.
Soft skills are just as important as technical skills, and so we look for candidates who can demonstrate the following:
* Interpersonal skills (communication, teamworking)
* Customer focus
* Creativity
* Problem-solving
* Resilience
Successful candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions and meet UK government security vetting criteria.
HORIBA MIRA actively promotes diversity and inclusion across our organisation. This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.
We recommend that you assess your eligibility before applying for this position. Visit https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
Closing date for Applications: Sunday 16th February 2025
You are advised to submit your application as soon as possible, as we reserve the right to close posts at any time once we have received sufficient applications.
It is important that we can identify your preference for a specific vacancy and ask that you only apply for that vacancy. If you wish to apply for more than one vacancy, please clearly state why you have done so and how your unique skills fit the role; otherwise, you may be rejected from each vacancy.
Assessment process:
If you meet our eligibility criteria, we will then ask you to complete a short Microsoft Teams interview (which will be recorded) and some psychometric tests, with successful applicants then progressing to an assessment day, including an overnight stay, where we can meet each other. This will take place at our MIRA Technology Institute on either of the following dates, so your diary must be available for this.
* 19th/20th March
* 24th/25th March
* 26th/27th March
More information on what we can offer you can be found here.
HORIBA MIRA are an equal opportunities employer and will provide reasonable support to applicants with a disability throughout the recruitment process.
