Job Title: Front of House Manager
Salary: £35,000 pa
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee our team of front of house staff and ensure the smooth operation of our food and beverage department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of front of house workers, including hosts, servers, and bartenders. Provide guidance, training, and support to maintain high standards of service.
Standard Implementation: Implement and maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the front of house area. Regularly inspect the dining area, bar, and restrooms to ensure compliance with company standards.
Employee Development: Ensure that all front of house staff are knowledgeable about menu items, specials, and beverage offerings. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and ensure consistent service quality.
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with hosts, sales representatives, and chefs to ensure seamless communication and coordination between front and back of house teams. Address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain efficient operations.
Stock Management: Oversee stock levels of beverages, utensils, and other front of house supplies. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and place orders as needed to ensure adequate supply levels.
Shift Scheduling: Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak business hours. Manage employee time-off requests and adjust schedules as necessary to meet staffing needs.
Customer Satisfaction: Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests by always ensuring prompt and courteous service. Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and strive to resolve them to the customer's satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
