Engineering Lecturer Barnsley College Engineering Salary : £36,614 to £41,194 per annum Contract Type:Permanent Full time 37 hours per week Reference: REC 1923 | Closing date: 5 th January 2025 The opportunity As an Engineering Lecturer, you will teach a variety of courses, ranging from Level 1 to Level 5, to full-time and part-time learners aged 16 to 18 and adult students. Combining practical and theoretical teaching, you will deliver contextualised learning that meets the needs of our diverse learners and aligns with awarding body requirements. As an Engineering Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that combine both practical and theoretical elements, using innovative teaching methods to inspire learners. You will design comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of students and align with curriculum goals. A key part of your role involves supporting learners academically and pastorally, helping them achieve their full potential. You will assess their work, provide constructive feedback, and verify or certify achievements as needed. You will work collaboratively with the Course Leader and teaching team to review, plan, and develop an effective curriculum that reflects industry trends and best practices. Through the use of effective assessment strategies, you will monitor learner progress, maintain accurate records, and produce reports to support continuous improvement.
