We are working with a leading organisation that offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, looking to apply their skills in a challenging and dynamic environment. You will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights that drive key business decisions and outcomes across the organisation.
Your expertise in data analysis and modelling will be essential in interpreting complex data sets, identifying trends, and developing strategies that inform business planning and decision-making processes. As a Business Insight Analyst, you will work closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that data and models are of the highest quality and effectively support strategic objectives.
Rather than simply focusing on tasks, you will have the opportunity to influence business processes, identify areas for improvement, and lead impactful projects that support long-term organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of analytical tasks, including the design and development of models, analysis of complex datasets, and creating business reports that help guide decision-making. You will collaborate with stakeholders across different teams, applying your expertise to deliver data-driven insights that help shape the organisation's direction. Your day-to-day work will involve:
** Data Analytics & Reporting: You will gather, process, and analyse large, often complex datasets to identify key trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives. You'll present these insights through clear reports and visual presentations, making sure that complex data is communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
** Database & Modelling Systems: You'll develop and apply database systems to integrate data from multiple sources. Additionally, you will work with modelling tools to support forecasting, business planning, and investment decisions.
** Project Leadership & Collaboration: You'll take the lead on key projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will collaborate with various teams across the organisation, sharing insights and ensuring alignment on data-driven strategies.
** Continuous Improvement: You'll have the opportunity to identify and implement improvements to existing systems, processes, and practices, helping to streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data analytics, with experience in using a range of tools and techniques to derive actionable business insights. Key skills and qualifications include:
** Qualifications: A numerate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is essential.
** Technical Expertise: You should be proficient in database development, data analytics, and modelling, with experience in using GIS software, statistical analysis tools, and other data-driven technologies.
** Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial. You should be comfortable working with complex datasets and applying critical thinking to interpret the results.
** Communication Skills: You must have the ability to present complex data clearly and effectively, tailoring your communication style to your audience. You will be required to write reports, create visual presentations, and communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels.
** Collaboration: Experience working in a collaborative team environment is essential. You should be comfortable sharing your expertise, listening to others, and working towards shared goals.
** Experience: Previous experience in a data-driven or analytical role is highly advantageous. Experience working in a similar industry or field would be a plus, but is not essential.
Why Apply?
This is a great opportunity to join a growing and innovative organisation where your contributions will make a tangible impact on business decisions. You'll be working on high-profile projects alongside talented professionals who are committed to shaping the future of the organisation. If you're passionate about data analytics and providing insights that help drive strategic change, we want to hear from you.
