About the Role: MET Strip/Fitter Technician
As a MET Strip/Fitter Technician in our Edinburgh Bodyshop, you will be central to the accident repair process. Key responsibilities include:
* Dismantling and reassembling vehicles to meet manufacturer standards and specifications.
* Conducting comprehensive inspections to assess vehicle damage and define repair needs.
* Using your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
* Working closely with the Bodyshop team to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.
* Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Experience as a MET Strip/Fitter or in a similar role within the body shop or accident repair industry.
* Strong technical understanding of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
* Skill in using diagnostic tools and Bodyshop equipment.
* Keen attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are advantageous.
