The Financial Crime Analyst role sits within the PEXA UK Operations, which is part of the PEXA UK Group of businesses.
Dealing with new and existing customers, you will be involved in all aspects of financial crime, such as: KYC/Due Diligence checks, sanction screening, transaction monitoring, AML audits.
You will adhere to approved processes and procedures and utilise tools like the Lexis Nexis ‘Bridger’ platform to provide risk-based recommendations and flag up any potential areas of risk to the business.
As part of an expanding team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of the PEXA financial crime approach and the building out of processes and procedures and implementation of new technologies as required.
Key Accountabilities
* Adherence to and applying the PEXA Fraud and Financial Crime policies, risk management processes and systems.
* Presenting and managing the financial crime risks in a simple concise manner to the business.
* Performing necessary checks and adhering to regulation.
* Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify potential opportunities to improve the current financial crime processes.
* Supporting production of Management Information and audits.
Skills and Experience
* 1-5 years’ experience in Financial Crime, including the completion of KYC, CDD, EDD, AML, Sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons, Transaction Monitoring, and SAR reports/AML audits.
* Knowledge of UK AML regulations, including FCA and SRA requirements.
* Customer onboarding KYC/Due Diligence checks experience.
* Experience in handling investigations.
* Adept in creating and following processes and procedures.
* Experience of using Bridger LexisNexis or similar screening software.
* Familiar with or user of Salesforce or similar service system.
* Experience of SAR writing preferred.
* Experience of dealing with ‘Micro-Enterprises’ preferred.
* Ability to analyse and translate financial crime and fraud information into clear simple language for business-focused risk-based recommendations.
* Competent in performing sanction screening checks and transaction monitoring investigations.
* Proficient in creating new processes and procedures.
* Advanced user of Excel and Microsoft software.
£40,000 - £45,000 a year
