The Opportunity
We have a great new career opportunity to recruit for a rapidly expanding onshore renewables business in the UK (Wind, Solar, and Battery solutions). This is a well-structured business, with sustainable accelerated growth plans and solid financial backing. It is fast-paced; it is exciting, and it would be a great time to join.
The Role
You will liaise and negotiate with landowners and land managers throughout the lifecycle of the land development. The development takes place in Forestry and with Farm owners across England. You are involved with legal teams, finance teams, engineering/planning teams, consultants, etc., and are pivotal at all stages of contract negotiation and partnership. You will carry out all manner of rural surveying including but not limited to assessments for land, birds, agriculture, and archaeology. This is not a site-finding role; you will acquire land projects from other teams that will be at varying stages of contract negotiation at pre-build and build stages.
The Person
You will have experience as a land manager either working for a developer or a landowner, and you must have experience in the energy sector; renewable experience would be very advantageous. You will be a great communicator and excellent negotiator, working closely with landowners and land managers, and with a cross-section of internal teams. You will be willing to travel to sites where necessary and to head office for meetings where relevant. It is expected that you will be a land manager currently or you might be in an allied role as an estates manager, forestry manager, conservation consultant, or agricultural officer. A background in Forestry or Agriculture would be extremely advantageous. You must be willing to travel.
