Worley are looking to engage a highly motivated individual to join the Site Team based on a Project within the UK.
Join us as an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor where you will support the supervision of all aspects of the electrical scheduled maintenance and construction activities with the electrical technicians and apprentices on site. This will mean regular communication with stores, procurement, service providers and spares suppliers. Ensuring statutory and maintenance compliance is completed, utilising the INFOR system to document maintenance, while ensuring repairs are correctly recorded.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities
1. Shift work covering days and nights on an 8/6 rotation.
2. Supervising and coordinating the day to day scheduled maintenance and construction activities for the equipment used within the shaft sinking activities.
3. Supervise the maintenance at outlaying stations, i.e. Bran Sands saline facility and Lockwood Beck interceptors.
4. Supervision of technicians, apprentices, and contractors within the integrated project maintenance team.
5. Close liaison with the maintenance manager, maintenance planner, electrical superintendent, surface superintendent and shift manager with all aspects of scheduled maintenance, construction, and breakdown activities.
6. Ensuring all planned work orders are completed on time within the electronic asset management system, follow up repairs and spares and ensure system is kept up to date.
7. Co-ordination of any remedial repairs with equipment hiring companies, repair companies and equipment suppliers, whenever requested by line management within the IPT team, this will mean that overtime could be worked when required.
8. Recording defects on equipment within the INFOR system, for history purposes and status on defects outstanding/completed.
9. Co-ordinate site inductions, access permitting for all third-party support visiting the site to carry out planned maintenance & repairs.
10. Liaising with stores and logistics teams with regards to equipment & spares arriving on site and removal of equipment off site.
11. Carrying out some maintenance tasks within the shaft sinking area, concentrating on supporting all maintenance activities planned for the day.
12. Continuously reviewing stores support and spares availability for up-and-coming maintenance and repairs, this will include communications with procurement & stores teams.
Qualifications
Person Specifications – Qualifications and Key Skills
1. NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance or equivalent Electrical Trade Qualification
2. Previous supervisory experience
3. 5-10 Years’ experience in electrical maintenance activities planned and unplanned.
4. Experience working at the sharp end to very tight project timelines.
5. Knowledge of electronic asset management reporting systems
6. Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures and documentation.
7. Ability to understand drawings and diagrams.
8. Strong communication, networking, collaboration, and well-developed team-working skills, especially in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams.
9. Have an ‘Incident Free’ mind-set, and be a role model for the project team and contractors alike.
10. Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, being able to work with the various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interests of the integrated project team.
11. Demonstrate a logical systematic approach to work, show initiative, demonstrate resilience, and accept accountability.
12. Display a positive ethical behaviour.
13. A full UK driving license is required for this role.
14. Knowledge of Electricity at Work regulations 1989 and relevant legislation pertaining to work undertaken.
15. Experience in PLC’s advantageous.
16. A good understanding of process engineering specifically water treatment plants, oil purification and gas generators.
17. Experience in installation, operation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, PLC’s and VFD’s).
18. Evidence of Safe Isolation of electrical systems within the scope of your appointment and voltage restriction.
19. Experience operating Switchgear, associated infrastructure and control systems.
