We are looking for a professional and experienced Client Relationship Manager to join our vibrant office with remote or hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would suit someone with previous experience in a similar role, particularly in Defined Benefit pensions schemes and managing client relationships within the pensions industry.
As a Client Relationship Manager with XPS, you will:
* Be responsible for the administration service to a portfolio of existing clients and for the development of new business opportunities.
* Ensure the efficient delivery of client work to agreed deadlines to comply with legislative and clients’ requirements.
* Manage day-to-day client relationships with trustees, scheme members, and corporate clients.
* Prepare for and participate in trustee meetings.
* Manage complex pensions queries and provide pensions consultative advice.
* Oversee ad-hoc projects and exercises, ensuring they are completed in line with customer and legislation requirements.
* Monitor ongoing procedural developments and implement changes where required.
* Contribute to technical administration discussions.
* Manage the administration billing process.
* Keep abreast of technical and legislative developments within the pensions industry.
* Work closely with other departments/teams to provide a total service to clients.
* Manage new business tenders and presentations.
Your Profile
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience as a Client Relationship Manager within the administration business of a third-party pensions administrator.
* Thorough knowledge of pension administration activities and the ability to apply this knowledge to any scheme.
* Experience with both Defined Contributions (DC) and Defined Benefits (DB) schemes is preferred.
* Knowledge of key areas of pensions legislation including pensions taxation, contracting out, and preservation.
* Experience handling complex member queries and calculations.
* Presentational experience to lead client meetings and new business presentations.
* Project management experience for pension administration projects.
* IT proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
* Educated to a minimum of A Level or Degree or equivalent standard.
* Strong Maths and English GCSE or equivalent qualification.
* APMI (or deemed ‘qualified by experience’).
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to digest complex technical information and present it clearly.
