About the Organisation The Wharf Nursery School is a well-established Surrey County Council Maintained Nursery, catering for children aged 2 - 5 years. It has been at the heart of the community in Godalming since it was founded in 1947. We have a modern, purpose-built Nursery, in a strong financial position, which was rated as 'Outstanding' by OFSTED in June 2023. We offer a warm, welcoming school environment where all children and adults are valued. About the Role We are looking for someone with experience of managing a budget to join our exceptional team. Previous accounting experience is not required, and a full training package is offered. This is a 23 hour per week, 40 weeks per year role (term time + 1 week). There is some flexibility around working pattern for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of Financial Resources, Administration and Human Resources within the school (with access to professional support). They will have experience of budget planning and financial forecasting, exercising cost monitoring and control. You must be able to manage multiple priorities and plan own workload, with previous experience of decision making. The role requires a confident and competent user of ICT.This role is integral to the success and smooth running of the school.
