We are looking for a Production Setter to join our busy and growing organisation. The Production Setter will ensure the most efficient running of the assets within their area assigned through the effective setting, monitoring and maintenance for which they are responsible. Key Responsibilities Set, operate and troubleshoot the assets through technical knowledge and competence. Input data into the PC – works orders and part specifications to ensure correct set up for manufacture. Fault find on daily generic issues, escalating complex faults through the maintenance reporting systems. Inspection of production first offs to ensure rejects are not passed on through the process. Follow production schedules as per SAP, working to works orders priorities and due dates. Produce quality product, at the agreed output rates, within drawing stated tolerances, thus avoiding unnecessary scrap. To operate all machine controls, which are a combination of mechanical, push button and computer key/touch pads Ensure scrap is recorded and segregated in line with procedures To be able participate in Team Based Maintenance plus general maintenance of the machinery and equipment Required Experience/skills/qualifications Experience of working with metal forming techniques. Good attention to detail to highlight any issues or defects. Computer literate. Desirable Experience of working with rolling mills, power presses etc. Power press certification. Slinging/crane certification.
