Role: Health and Safety Manager
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 (DOE)
Position Overview:
We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics company that’s looking for a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of employees, driving compliance with safety regulations, and creating a culture of safety throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies in line with regulatory standards.
* Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
* Lead health and safety training initiatives for all staff, ensuring compliance and promoting best practices.
* Monitor and improve the performance of safety measures, ensuring a reduction in accidents and near misses.
* Act as the main point of contact for all health and safety matters, providing guidance and support across departments.
The Ideal Candidate:
* NEBOSH/IOSH qualified or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a similar role within a distribution, logistics, or warehousing environment.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
