Role Overview: The Intermediate Mechanical Engineer will work under the guidance of the Project Associate or Director, supporting the delivery of mechanical design solutions across a wide range of projects. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of project development, from design and specification through to installation monitoring and client liaison. Key Responsibilities: Assist in ensuring mechanical/electrical project specifications are robust and aligned with project goals. Ensure that all designs and installations meet current legislative, statutory, and Health & Safety standards. Monitor site installations and liaise with contractors to ensure work is carried out to specification and quality standards. Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments and within project teams. Support the training and development of junior staff members where appropriate. Attend business development meetings and support the preparation of fee tenders as required. Contribute to the timely and efficient delivery of projects, maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams. Work towards positive financial outcomes on assigned projects. Assist in supervising tasks and provide support to less experienced team members. Build and maintain client relationships and represent the company in a professional manner. Participate in project meetings and contribute to contract administration when appropriate. Adhere to and promote high standards of health and safety practices. Maintain professional standards and keep up to date with industry developments. Ideal Candidate Will Have: A background in mechanical engineering within a building services consultancy. Good technical knowledge with a desire to grow and take on more responsibility. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
