Working within the Merchandising department, you will support the development, preparation, and delivery of a sustainable training program and technical content to support rapid business growth and change. Working collaboratively with the Merchandising teams and relevant business areas, you will input into the delivery of new and innovative learning solutions to provide consistent best practice and ways of working within Merchandising and aid ongoing training and development for the individual and teams. · Job Title – Group Merchandising Training & Development Advisor · Location – JD Group Hollins Brook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, BL9 8RR · Working rota – Monday to Friday · Working hours – 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week What You'll Be Doing: As a Group Merchandising Training & Development Advisor, you'll be doing the following: Produce reports on training and development activity using agreed performance indicators. Translate merchandising business process into relevant training content. Create high quality training content documentation for new and existing merchandising processes. Engage with subject matter experts to capture- translate subject matter expert dialogue into relevant training content- review and sign off training guide content. Create engaging and relevant resources using content creators, considering design relevance. Coordinate refresher training cycle. Support on projects including content creation, workshop resources and facilitation. Deliver training workshops for the Merchandising teams. Conduct follow up activity to ensure impact after workshop delivery to inform future learning needs and continuous improvement. Oversee merchandising new starter onboarding process. Oversee merchandising new starter onboarding workshop. Attend group central merchandising meeting, collaborate and contribute. Ownership of key communication updates via training email. Manage deadlines and update progress using Click Up. Role model a growth mindset throughout the department by staying up to date with, and applying, current theory within Learning and Development. Build understanding of merchandising dept/lifecycle. What We're Looking For: Well organised with strong attention to detail. Ability to coordinate and prioritise different activities effectively. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint. Experience of training platforms and content creators to create training resources. Able to take ownership of work and use initiative to deliver on key responsibilities. Good teamwork skills, being able to work collaboratively to reach a common goal, sharing information and supporting colleagues. Positive, flexible, and responsive to business needs.
