We are seeking a dynamic and experienced manager and leader to manage our falls and Parkinson's service in BaNES. This service is dedicated to supporting people living in the community who are falling or at risk of falls, and those managing the complexities of Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders.
Main Responsibility
As clinic manager, you will work closely with the Head of Service to lead a multidisciplinary team of therapists, doctors and nurses, support staff, and administrators to deliver high quality, person-centred care.
You will coordinate care pathways and ensure seamless collaboration with primary and secondary care, neurology services, and other community resources.
You will drive service innovation, using evidence-based approaches to enhance outcomes and patient satisfaction.
You will monitor and evaluate performance, ensuring compliance with all clinical governance and safety standards and you will be a strong advocate for your service users, empowering them and their families to live as independently and confidently as possible.
You will line manage staff effectively, engaging with HR and relevant organisational policies and procedures as appropriate, taking advice where required.
The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role you will need to be a skilled and empathetic leader with a track record of managing healthcare or community services. You will need to have an understanding of falls and falls prevention, and Parkinson's and movement disorders. You will be experienced in working within a multidisciplinary framework with an ability to inspire and motivate a team. You will possess excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills and will hold a relevant qualification in healthcare, and registration with an appropriate professional body. You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and service user involvement.
The role is currently for 22.5 hours across 3 – 4 days of the week. There is the potential for this to go up to 30 hours per week in the future. The post is a job share with the current Clinic Manager who will be working 1 day per week as joint clinic manager.
