The pathology transformation change Lead role has a cross-cutting remit, working closely with regional ICB, Integrated Care Systems, NHS Providers, NHS England & Improvement regional teams, clinical networks, etc. The focus of the overarching role is the implementation of a Pathology outsource programme that supports the strategic direction of the HWE ICS Pathology network.
The role is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust programme plan and is accountable to the HWE ICS Pathology Board for ensuring the successful implementation of the program.
The transformation change Lead is a key leadership role in the management of the change and implementation of the Target Operating Model of the network. The post holder is responsible for supporting the Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) of the Strategic Pathology Partnership Board (SPPB) who acts on behalf of the CEOs of the partner organisations to lead the change and delivery of the programme of work agreed by HWE SPPB.
The transformation change lead will be coordinating all aspects of the work programme between the Partners and the appointed Outsource Pathology Provider. The post holder will play an active role in leading, supporting and coordinating change within the network.
Lead the implementation and delivery of the programmes of work to implement the outsource pathology solution for HWE and NHS partner organisations.
Plan and monitor the implementation of the outsource pathology solution and hold the supplier to account through robust monitoring of the key programme milestones.
Develop and maintain governance arrangements that ensure delivery of work programmes and assure and inform key stakeholders of progress.
Strategy:
Interpret NHS policy and strategy in relation to the implementation of Pathology outsource contract, including the redesign of clinical pathways and services where applicable.
Responsible for leading discussions in relation to the Pathology outsource programme of work, ensuring a multi-disciplinary / multi-organisation approach. This will involve leading work to translate the Pathology programme into clear deliverables and contracting intentions.
Work closely with network partners and Outsource Pathology Provider to implement new ways of working that modernize the way Pathology services are delivered.
