An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Digital Training Team. The post holder will deliver and evaluate training and support users in the workplace to both individuals and staff groups using face to face training, virtual and eLearning methods. Applicants with experience of delivering Clinical Systems are preferred but not essential. Experience of digital content design is preferred however, successful applicants will be expected to learn. As a Digital Trainer you will create engaging and interactive learning materials, including e-learning and instructional videos. We are seeking a reliable, patient and adaptable person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants should possess the ability to quickly learn complex tasks and be able to communicate this learning in a logical, concise and clear manner. The post holder will work autonomously to deadlines and manage your own workload.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to work flexibly both in terms of your ability to travel between sites and provide training, support and knowledge to support the implementation and development of all elements of Digital Training being implemented within the Trust. To ensure that all users make full and effective use of Digital tools by evaluating and testing current and new software, as well as planning, developing, delivering and evaluating training courses/material.
Job responsibilities
1. To undertake IT training needs analysis in support of training required in projects by establishing benchmarks for the training against which people's competencies will be assessed.
2. Responsible for delivering technology-based training programmes for clinical and non-clinical systems across ULHT and the health community and to regularly review and update existing training programmes for all systems.
3. To establish and utilise the most appropriate method of delivery for all grades of staff, irrespective of IT skills.
4. To undertake the role of module lead or site-based lead for an existing clinical or non-clinical system.
5. To undertake the role of lead trainer in the implementation of new software on an affected health community wide rollout basis.
6. To test, trial and learn new software (both clinical and non-clinical systems) in order to understand the functionality involved.
7. To design and develop appropriate training materials and techniques for all new systems.

Qualifications
Essential
* Educated to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge or skill
* Formal Teaching or Training Qualification such as City & Guilds 7302/7307 Pt 1/7407 Pt 1 or equivalent relevant experience
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* English GCSE or equivalent Grade C or above
* ECDL (or equivalent)
Desirable
* TAP certificate/s
* e-learning qualification (CELP or equivalent)
* City & Guilds 7302/7307/7407 Stage 2
* PGCE/Cert. Ed or equivalent
* Project Management qualifications such as Prince II foundation
Previous Experience

* Relevant training experience in a formal or informal training situation
* Training a wide range of users on Microsoft applications and/or clinical systems/equivalent complex information systems
* Provision of end-user support on PC office packages and/or clinical systems/equivalent complex information systems
* Evidence of the development of high-quality training programmes and syllabuses
