We are looking for a Process Technician to join Thames Water permanently.
As the successful candidate, you will be working alongside a multiskilled team who are passionate about delivering results and great service for our customers.
Mogden STW is our third largest wastewater treatment works and the operations team are responsible for serving around 2.1 million people across West London. As a Process Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering this service by performing a range of assigned front-line activities to safety, quality, time and cost standards, including but not limited to operating and testing assets, reactive problem solving and carrying out routine checks or planned and preventative maintenance.
* Monday-Friday, 07:30 - 15:36 (38 hours per week)
* No experience is needed as you will receive a full training plan
* Access to a company van while on a standby rota
* Location - Mogden - Isleworth - TW7 7LW
What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician
* You will perform a range of assigned front-line activities including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost, and quality standards. This includes planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant.
* Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
* Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
* Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
* Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
* Always working safely and complying with all Health and Safety guidance and procedures.
* Once fully trained, participate in a 1 6 weekly standby and call-out rota to support the operation of the treatment works out of hours.
* Traveling to other sites within the catchment may occasionally be required to meet operational needs.

* Be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them, be disciplined, have the desire to learn from those around you, and have a can-do attitude.
* Take ownership of responding quickly to faults, being curious to understand the problem fully, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the team.
* Teamwork – We are one team, and our end goals are the same.
* Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
* Must be prepared to be trained in essential safety procedures such as Confined Space Entry or Working at Height.
* Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.
* Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
