What we are looking for
We are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our supply chain operations. From managing inventory and processing orders to liaising with suppliers and transport teams, you will ensure that all aspects of the supply chain function seamlessly. You will also have the opportunity to manage your own product categories and work closely with different departments, including buying, quality, and operations. This role is ideal for someone who is keen to take on responsibility, has a strong problem-solving attitude, and is excited by opportunities for growth and career development.
You will
1. Processing Orders: Ensure that all purchase orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner, coordinating with suppliers to ensure stock is delivered on time.
2. Managing Shortages & Rejections: Proactively manage product shortages and rejections, working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues that may affect the supply chain.
3. Liaising with Transport Teams & Account Managers: Collaborate with transport teams to ensure timely delivery of products, and work closely with account managers to address any logistical issues or supplier concerns.
4. Coordinating Weekly Stock Count Cycles: Oversee and coordinate the weekly stock count cycles to ensure inventory levels are accurately maintained and discrepancies are resolved.
5. Category Management: Take ownership of specific product categories, managing their stock levels, supplier relationships, and order processes to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operations.
6. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the buying, quality, and operations teams to ensure product quality, availability, and timely delivery while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
7. Problem-Solving: Use your initiative to identify and resolve issues within the supply chain, ensuring that operations run smoothly despite potential challenges.
8. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of supply chain processes and systems, looking for opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.
Your profile
1. Proficiency in Spreadsheets & Formulas: Skilled in using Google Sheets or similar tools to manage and analyse supply chain data, track orders, and create reports.
2. Strong Financial Acumen: Ability to manage costs, monitor budgets, and ensure financial success within your categories of responsibility.
3. Problem-Solving & Initiative: Proactively tackle challenges within the supply chain, using creative solutions to overcome obstacles.
4. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively, maintaining high levels of efficiency even in a busy environment.
5. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and detail in processing orders, managing stock, and handling data.
6. Collaborative Team Player: Work effectively with multiple internal departments (buying, quality, operations) and external stakeholders (suppliers, transport teams).
7. Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple product categories and adapting to changing priorities and challenges.

1. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external teams, ensuring all parties are aligned and informed.
