We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in Alnwick on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and are eager to support students with various behavioural needs.
Person Specification:
* No prior experience necessary – a willingness to learn and grow is what matters!
* A genuine interest in working with children and young people, particularly those with behavioural needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
* A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students on a one-to-one or small group basis, addressing behavioural challenges and promoting positive outcomes.
* Assist in implementing tailored strategies to improve students’ social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
* Help students develop coping strategies and build resilience in a supportive environment.
* Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to monitor and assess student progress.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
