As Technical Author you will report to the Support Services Manager. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of technical authoring, including collating various as built documentation packages of Operating & Maintenance Manuals, Health & Safety Files, Handover Packs, and digital asset registers. You will also report on progress to individual project teams as well as advise on compliance to meet specification and contract requirements.,
* Managing our as built documentation production, submission and close out processes, including:
+ Monitoring progress + Internal reporting
* Creating and collating clear and concise technical as built documentation
* Act as a key liaison with our delivery teams and supply chain to produce good quality as built records, offering guidance and assistance as required
* Liaising with clients and their agents to ensure our as built documentation satisfies all contract and specification requirements
* Complete all digital requirements, e.g. use of common data environments, client portals, etc.
* Developing existing and new GL templates for as built documentation
* Contribute to the further development of our internal processes and procedures, including identified improvement areas
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* An understanding of civil engineering and MEICA disciplines.
* Competent to use Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook predominantly).
* Ability to create and manipulate pdf files.
* Basic AutoCAD ability would be an advantage
* Work well within a team.
* Ability to work on your own and remotely.
* Ability to manage simultaneous tasks and prioritise.
* Ability to follow business and function processes.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships (internal and external).
