Membership Development Manager
Full Time – 37 hours per week
Starting at £30,542 and rising to £35,735 over a period of 4 years plus, valuable benefits
Based in York, The Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) is an Educational Charity which acts as a Professional Body and Learned Society for a growing membership of more than 4,700 scientists, engineers and technologists working in hospitals, universities, and healthcare industries.
IPEM is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive manager to grow and develop our membership in terms of both recruitment and retention, to oversee membership administration, the CPD scheme and registrations open to IPEM members, to line manage the membership team and to work with relevant IPEM committees and external stakeholders.
You will be an experienced manager of people and budgets with experience of working within a demanding environment within a tight-knit team and interacting with professionals of differing and diverse backgrounds. You will be committed to delivering exceptional customer service. You will also need experience of modern IT systems and CRM databases, and be a “hands on,” flexible and committed collaborator. Above all, you will be a responsive communicator with a passion for working with people and helping support professional members in their careers.
You will be educated to degree level and have strong written and oral communications skills, strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to manage competing priorities.
