You will be assisting our dedicated and supportive team to ensure that our Theatres are running at their optimum levels and that our patients are exactly where they need to be, whilst maintaining a highly sterile environment.

Main duties of the job
Some of the main duties of your role would be:
1. Collect patients from wards and escort to theatre
2. Assist the trained practitioner in carrying out any necessary procedures or act as a chaperone when required
3. Assist with emergency treatment in the event of cardiac arrest
4. Assist the Anaesthetist with simple tasks whilst preparing patient for anaesthesia (e.g. applying blood pressure cuff and pulse oximeter)

Qualifications
* Evidence of secondary education
* Care certificate (skills for care) in-house training or prepared to undertake within an agreed timescale
* Vocational level 2 healthcare or prepared to undertake within an agreed timescale
Experience
* Previous experience in a care environment or able to demonstrate a caring nature or life experience
Additional Criteria
* Understands the need for strict confidentiality
* Understanding of the health or social care setting
* Understanding of the concept of promoting independence
* Be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the individual and service
