The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and self-motivated engineer to join our Highway Maintenance Team at Warwickshire County Council. The team oversees and delivers in partnership with our term maintenance contractor all planned highway works and capital highway programme. Your role will be to design and project manage highway works, surface maintenance and capital improvement works/schemes. Managing their delivery within agreed timescales, budgets and quality standards. Identifying site technical problems and recommending solutions will also be part of your work. You should have extensive experience in implementing civil engineering highway works, including inspecting, recording and reporting on construction projects, you are used to assessing temporary traffic management solutions. Key Requirements To be successful you’ll need good communication skills both verbal and written, planning and organising and IT skills. Knowledge of current design and construction standard and specifications and have a strong health & safety awareness. The role requires the ability to travel across Warwickshire.
