Dorrington House requires a dedicated and conscientious Activities Assistant to join our friendly team on a part time basis. We’re seeking a caring and compassionate individual who will be able stimulate residents physically, mentally, socially and emotionally through a high quality schedule of varied activities, outings and events. Candidates must be enthusiastic, warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing our residents with high quality care and support.
Principal Responsibilities
* To assist in planning, delivering and evaluating activities for all residents to participate in.
* To create, coordinate and implement activities and events for the community.
* To plan and allocate one to one time to provide person centered activities with individual residents.
* To assist with fundraising and budgeting for entertainments, materials and outings.
* To scheduled vendors and entertainment.
* To keep all activity areas tidy and in good order. Maintain a stock of materials and to replace as and when required.
* To record activities carried out in residents notes.
About you:
We are looking for an individual with previous working experience in organising activities, events and outings, ideally with the elderly, but other backgrounds will be considered.

4 Day per week. Usual working hours are 09:30 – 15:00 with every other weekend in, some flexibility outside these days/hours is expected on special occasions/events.
