We are looking to appoint a passionate, innovative and compassionate Acute Therapies Manager to provide management, clinical leadership, supervision and strategic overview of the delivering of acute therapies across the 2 working age adult wards and the PICU at Farnham Road Hospital, to ensure people who are admitted benefit from a range of evidence-based and best practice interventions to support their recovery.
This post will involve being an active member of the hospital leadership team contributing to the delivery of safe and effective services.
Main duties of the job
* To provide management and clinical leadership to the acute therapy service
* To ensure the safe and effective delivery of acute therapy services
* To be part of the senior leadership team within the acute service supporting the overall delivery of services
* To have extensive knowledge of the national and local strategies that have an impact on acute services
* To address issues of retention, recruitment, career development and performance management
* To ensure a learning environment within the acute therapy service
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Leadership training
* Clinical supervision training
Experience/knowledge
* Experience of clinical and compassionate leadership within healthcare settings
* Experience of managing a service
* Extensive post-qualification experience of working within a mental health environment
* Highly specialist assessment and intervention skills relevant to your profession for the population being served
* Experience of leading on projects/service development/innovations
* Understanding of professional and organisational issues, including governance
* Extensive experience of supervising staff, appraisals and addressing performance management issues
* Highly effective and advanced communication skills being able to provide and receive complex, sensitive and contentious information
* Experience of implementing national strategies at a local level

Salary: £55,877 to £62,626 a year inc Fringe HCAS, per annum, pro rata
