We are working with a leading precision engineering company based in Middlesbrough, who are looking for a Senior CNC Programmer to join their thriving business on a permanent basis. If so, please read on The role of a Senior CNC Programmer: As a Senior CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision-engineered parts according to client specifications. You will work closely with engineers and the production team to ensure efficiency and quality in manufacturing processes. Duties & responsibilities of a Senior CNC Programmer: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to program CNC machines Set up and operate CNC machines including mills and lathes Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards Troubleshoot issues with CNC machines and make adjustments as needed Collaborate with engineers and production team to optimize manufacturing processes Complete stage inspection using various hand and CMM measurement equipment Prepare parts for final inspection; deburr, degrease, glass bead blast Complete final inspection using measuring equipment to confirm parts within tolerances and adhere to clients' specification Liaise with Clients during consultation process to understand machining requirement Required skills of a Senior CNC Programmer: Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks. Strong knowledge of mechanical principles and tooling. Familiarity with logic controllers. Experience working within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is advantageous. Extensive experience working with CNC Lathes, as well as 3-axis and 4-axis Milling machines. Competency in using CMM measuring equipment. Ability to manage the full lifecycle of each job: interpreting drawings, understanding client specifications, programming machines, setting up, operating, and final inspection. Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset. Essential experiences: Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience – 3 years (required). CNC Milling and Lathe programming – 8 years (required). Tooling experience – 8 years (required). Mechanical knowledge – 10 years (required). What's in it for you?
