Description Permanent Contract | £33,336 to £35,235 per annum (Scale H) | 37 hours per week | County Hall We are looking for an organised and self-motivated individual to look after our extensive inventory of highway trees in Norwich. The postholder will be based within the City Highways Maintenance Team and will be responsible for the management of highway trees in the city area. You will: Carry out routine level 4 tree safety inspections. Identify, prioritise and deliver tree maintenance work. Respond to customer enquiries, and tree related planning and development issues. Manage the highway tree asset within the city area. Specify and organise the annual tree planting programme, including applying for grant money where appropriate. You will need: to possess excellent communication skills in order to deliver high quality customer service, as well as deal effectively with contractors and developers on site. a Level 4 tree inspection qualification. Experience of working in tree management, including knowledge of tree pests, diseases etc Experience of dealing with contractors. Experience of dealing directly with members of the public. You will be required to travel in order to deal with service requests and therefore you will need to be able to travel to places not accessible on public transport routes.
