About the Role:
As the Business Development Manager (BDM) for the I&C sector, you will play a key role in driving sales growth within the I&C electricity grid new connections market. Reporting directly to the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for expanding the client’s presence in key sectors such as Multi-Occupancy Buildings, Retail Parks, and Logistics/fulfilment centres.
Role Responsibilities:

Drive sales growth in I&C ICP electricity new grid connections for the client, focusing on the designated market segments
*
Lead the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, bid management, and tendering
*
Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring exceptional customer service
*
Collaborate with internal teams for estimating, design, and project delivery
*
Consistently meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining the required profit margins
*
Contribute to continuous process improvements within the business development team
What We’re Looking For:

Proven track record of sales success in the utilities, construction, or a related sector
*
Established network within the ICP or IDNO sectors with the ability to drive growth
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
*
Experience managing the full sales cycle, including tendering and bid processes
*
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven approach to achieving targets
*
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Requirements:
*
Experience in business development, ideally within the utilities or construction sectors
*
Deep understanding of the I&C ICP electricity grid connection market
*
Exceptional negotiation and closing skills
*
Full UK driver’s license and access to a fully insured, serviced vehicle
*
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not mandatory
