Job Description
We are recruiting a Communications Manager for our global Enterprise Capabilities team to support internal communications, drive employee engagement, and lead the development of messaging and communications strategies and plans to reach internal and external audiences.
The successful candidate will be a reliable and enthusiastic team player, excited about joining a global organization and managing communications for a global audience.
You will lead the development of the internal communications strategy, providing strategic and tactical advice on effective internal communication and engagement within Enterprise Capabilities. Acting as a key trusted advisor and contact point for members of the EC leadership team, you’ll have the confidence to challenge to foster collaboration and drive success.
You must have proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize a variety of projects and tasks, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail and be able to work equally effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Here’s what you’ll do:
* Advisor to Leadership: Build strong relationships with senior leadership and serve as a trusted communications advisor. Provide strategic counsel on messaging, operational updates, and local and global town halls.
* Champion Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the EC team. Challenge existing norms and processes to drive creativity and excellence in activity.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and prioritise key stakeholders, including employees and those that have an impact on the employee value proposition. Develop strategies to engage and build relationships with these groups.
* Content Creation: Oversee the development of compelling and relevant content, including town halls, leadership communication, articles, internal social media updates, and other materials that align with EC messaging.
* People Engagement: Support in developing people and project spotlights and driving employee engagement across all EC offices. Partner with TA teams to support recruitment marketing and employer branding efforts.
* Internal Marketing Materials: Oversee the development and promotion of marketing collateral promoting EC teams and services.
* Strategic Thinker: Ability to think critically, analytically, and holistically about complex situations, problems, or challenges, along with having the capacity to see the big picture and formulate effective strategies to achieve long-term goals and objectives.
* Influencing and stakeholder management skills: Can interact at a senior level, providing credible advice and guidance, as well as building good networks and relationships at all levels of an organization.
* Writing skills: Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from the business.
* Completion skills: Able to work independently, taking projects through to completion, working as part of a team and independently.
* Creative skills: The creative ability to storyboard internal campaigns and material that will engage and excite staff.
* Software skills: Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, and SharePoint (desirable).
* Digital skills: Experience in delivering content through multimedia and digital platforms.
Qualifications
* Strong written and oral communications skills, including copyediting.
* Ability to synthesize complex materials and to craft creative, persuasive language and compelling messaging for a variety of global audiences.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work effectively on a variety of projects concurrently in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.
* Proven ability to ensure accuracy, completeness and thoroughness of all work products.
* Self-starter capable of assuming responsibility for several tasks at once with little supervision.
* Project management and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. SharePoint and Poppulo or other email newsletter platforms knowledge is preferred;
* Detail oriented and passionate about delivering high-value work.
* Creative and resourceful, with a keen interest on driving best-in-class communications.
* A time management superstar - able to navigate competing priorities and multiple projects.
* A quick learner who embraces new technologies and platforms.
* A positive and enthusiastic team player.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in communications, English, marketing, Journalism or related discipline.
* Similar corporate communications-related experience, preferably in a global, multi-site company or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
