This will require some audit work to ensure our policies, procedures and people related activity is fit for purpose alongside guiding the organisation through a period of change and transformation.
There is a lot to achieve in a small amount of time so being able to work quickly to a high standard is essential to success.
Position:
* Oversee all people and change related activity, taking ownership of key transformational projects aimed at professionalising our services, behaviours and processes.
* Advise the exec and board on people and change related risk, issues and opportunities.
* Take accountability for employee engagement so that staff have the opportunity to speak up, raise concerns and make suggestions.
* Update policies, procedures and practices to make sure they reflect current legislation and best practice. Consider how these are embedded into the organisation.
* Manage any employment risk to the organisation by developing our employee lifecycle management to be robust and demonstrate compliance with our legal and regulatory requirements.
* Develop a people strategy which focuses on talent, development and performance management across the workforce.
* Perform all of the above in a way which embeds good practice and knowledge in the organisation for the future but is sensitive towards reduced capacity/know how in existing teams.
* Prepare the organisation to be more confident and self-sufficient in the future by developing and educating our staff and managers to take ownership for their decisions.
* Manage the people budget and all providers and suppliers ensuring maximum financial efficiency.
* Line management of Governance Lead, Project Manager and Executive Assistant.
The above list of responsibilities is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
Requirements:
* Extensive hands-on experience of building and developing a HR function.
* Experience of good governance and risk management at a corporate and departmental level, ideally in a regulated environment.
* Skilled and confident in managing senior stakeholders including collaborating with and presenting to board and dealing with external parties and associates.
* Pro-active, driven and able to quickly spot solutions to obstacles.
* Demonstrates excellent leadership qualities and behaviours including being accessible and approachable for all staff.
* Able to translate change to all stakeholders in simple language and actions.
* Acts as a change advocate and ambassador and has the tools and know-how to deal with those who are resistant to change.
* At least 10 years experience in leading and building HR teams/frameworks.
* Sound knowledge of employment law and legislative changes.
* Ability to coach, mentor and advise across all levels of the organisation.
* Resilient, calm and focused.

Location: Working on a hybrid basis, hours are to be performed at our office in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Job Type: 12-Month Contract.
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (pro-rata).
Schedule: 22.5 hours per week, schedule to be confirmed with successful candidate.
