Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Covering Barnsley, Rotherham, and Sheffield
Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 (based on experience)
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Annual Leave: 23 days + 8 bank holidays

About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and motivated Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to support our growing customer base. The role involves planned preventative maintenance, service, and repairs on various HVAC systems, including AHUs/FCUs, VRVs/VRFs, chillers, and close control equipment.
Note: This role is predominantly based in prisons; candidates must be at least 21 years old, pass an enhanced DBS check, and complete the prison service vetting procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete air conditioning maintenance and reactive work across large commercial sites.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance, compliance tasks, and reactive works.
* Service, test, diagnose, and repair systems related to building services.
* Carry out reactive breakdowns and services effectively.
* Use test and monitoring equipment to maintain engineering systems and aid fault diagnosis.
* Diagnose and repair faults with air conditioning and refrigeration in commercial/industrial environments.
* Provide technical support to fellow engineers.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HVAC industry.
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Ventilation.
* F-Gas Certification.
* Previous experience with close control systems and chillers.
* Strong team-working skills, excellent customer care, and problem-solving abilities.
