The Role
We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join the Stroke Ward at University Hospital Wishaw!
The Registered Nurse will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
The nurse is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and may be required to demonstrate procedures and supervise registered and/or unregistered staff, as well as student nurses.

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
* Excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have:
* An interest in stroke.
* Educated to degree level or training undertaken post registration courses.
* Evidence of CPD e.g. Flying Start, meeting PREP standards
* Cleanliness Champion
* Previous Registered Nursing position
* Evidence of post registration skills e.g. IV Drug therapy, cannulation and phlebotomy
* Evidence of positive role modelling
* Ability to use NHS Patient Management Systems
* Full UK driving licence - unsociable hours
